The auditory brainstem response (ABR) is an auditory evoked potential that can be recorded with electrodes placed on the scalp. Juan Pablo Marcoleta, a PhD candidate at MHH, developed a board to record ABR and Waldo Nogueira contributed with code to perform the recording of the different waves contained in the ABR. These waves include Wave I-III generated from the auditory nerve, cochlear nucleus and superior olivary complex of the brainstem and waves IV and V from the upper brainstem. We were doing some preliminary tests at the APG to assess the possibilities of this self developed ABR system.
